Both my kiddos to back to school on the 9th of September, and I have quite a few projects lined up to complete before then.
A quick on that I completed last night was their keychains for their backpacks. I found some fantastic custom keychains on Promotion Choice but I thought I’d try and make my own first.
My son is going into the 3rd grade and they are required to have a flash drive/thumb drive! I had considered the options to ensure that they don’t lose this item for their studies. It is important after all. A friend of mine used some Custom photo keychains to help them keep track, putting their details on it so it could be returned if it was lost, but I wanted to try a more homemade option for my boy. When I was at staples they had a 4 Gig one on sale for $4.99, so that’s what I grabbed, it seemed just about perfect.
But, the thing is tiny! I am talking like the tip of my finger tiny, and this is not going to be easily kept track of. So I thought to do this!
Please excuse the horrible orientation of these photos…. I am on the verge of tossing my computer through the window…. it’s not letting me rotate!!!!
I had this cute “G” ribbon that I grabbed at convention this year, and thought it was a perfect addition to these keychains!! The only issue I have now, is that I don’t have a keychain for myself! I was thinking of creating another one myself but then I have also come across accessories from Good Threads Needlepoint that could create me a custom keychain! I think I know what I might be doing for my personal keychain needs now!
Here to hoping these make it through the school year!
