While I was away for my amazing scrapbook convention girls weekend, the hubby went to work on the kitchen. This is just our “temporary” fix until we do the big overhaul, but it has made all the difference in the world to me!!
Here we go. These will all be before & After shots! (before pics are messy, and horrible pics)
We plan to add the new faucet, fix the cabinets next to the dishwasher and the stove and install a new light fixture above the sink. One of the first things we’re going to do is sort the faucet out. We want the sink to start working soon, so the faucet needs to go on. We’ve been told that we could install the faucet ourselves, but we’d rather a professional plumbing company did it instead. That way, we know that it’s been done properly. Our friend told us about a plumbing company called Nance Services (nanceservices.net/plumbing/faucet-repairs-installation/), so we decided to give them a call to come and install the faucet. Hopefully, this will mean that there will be no leaking faucets in the kitchen! I just can’t wait until our kitchen is finished as it’s beginning to stress me out a little bit now. So that’s why I could do without having to worry about my faucets being installed incorrectly, so it’s probably best that we get someone to do it for us. No one likes the idea of having a leaking faucet, especially if you’ve just had a brand new kitchen installed. My cousin recently installed her own and encountered so many problems with it, and it took ages to figure out what the problem was. Luckily, they got in touch with Steve’s Plumbing, (callstevesplumbing.com/plumbing/leak-repair/) and he was able to diagnose and fix the problem as quick as it occurred. That’s great news. But the leak has caused some damage to her kitchen which she’s having to get replaced, and I want to avoid this if I can. I can’t do with anymore stress.
I think that at some point we will be looking into having our cabinets painted, so that it can fit in more with our vision. We’re going to try and find somewhere that is similar to this Dwyer Custom Painting company, (click here to get more information) so that it can be done professionally and neatly. At least this way we will be able to focus on other things that need doing, like the dining nook. Once I get the dining nook completed I will repost the FINAL kitchen reveal! It is certainly going to be a challenge, but luckily I love DIY and design. I know that many design and build lovers who transform their home would be naturals at having their own business. Luckily, FireSky has the perfect opportunites for you build and design lovers! You can open your own design business with Firesky Franchising, which is very exciting! I’ll let my husband know!
We got our new hardware from a local Home Builders Association annual garage sale. I paid… wait for it…. $3.00 for about 20 cup pulls!! We bought the round door knobs at home depot for about $1.50 each, and they match perfectly. SCORE!
I have been collecting so much Fiestaware lately, and it is starting to overflow, I need my new hutch soon! Garage Sale season is coming up, maybe I will find something perfect for my collection!
I hope you enjoyed, and thank you again for all of your thoughts and prayers for our little Jayden as he recovered.
